Wednesday 24 March, 2010 / 6:30 pm
Speaker(s): Timothy Langley
Employee Rights in the Workforce
Firing an employee in Japan is risky business. Similarly, hanging onto a job when the vectors are all aimed at you, particularly if you are a non-Japanese, is a stressful and career-defining moment. Hang on to your hat because whatever side of the fence you sit on, you will not want to miss this presentation by well-known Japan hand and legal expert Timothy Langley, Esq.

No matter what your particular situation, Timothy promises he has seen it in various reiterations several times over. He was General Counsel to Apple Computer in Japan and Apple’s first lawyer in Asia; he was also General Counsel to General Motors Asia Pacific. Thereafter, he established his own consultancy which dealt with a wide variety of issues, including labor & employment relations issues. Timothy possesses four post-graduate degrees including one in labor law from Tohoku University, so it is a good bet that he will provide valuable insight and direction to all who attend. Please register early as this is expected to be a fairly well-attended event.
